Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT)

Transicare's Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) provides prompt assessment, intervention, and local resource connection to individuals experiencing a behavioral health emergency.

The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) is a team made up of mental health professionals who help adults and children experiencing a mental health crisis. Crisis intervention is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere someone needs help – at home, work or school, in clinics, or on the streets. A person in crisis might be hearing or seeing things that are not real or be in danger of injuring themselves or others. To keep people safe, services include mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and risk reduction. Clients are also connected to outpatient mental health programs and local resources for ongoing care and recovery support. MCOT works closely with local police and Emergency Medical Services as part of a first response to psychiatric emergencies.
