Our Story
Transicare was created in 2004 with the belief that many of the behavioral health needs of clients in transition left them vulnerable to falling through the cracks. Beginning with specialized transportation as an alternative to law enforcement or ambulance-assisted transport, Transicare eventually developed an array of services to target the behavioral health needs of clients transitioning from higher levels of care and forensic settings. Central to all of our services is our commitment to finding creative solutions that are tailored to the unique needs of those we serve.
Services range from specialized transportation, case management, clinical assessment, crisis assessment, disaster response, liaison services, specialized community-based intensive case management for higher levels of care and forensic populations, and oversight of civil commitments for the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority.
Our staff is composed of professionals that include a doctor of osteopathic medicine, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, licensed professionals of the healing arts, qualified mental health providers, as well as certified peers in recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, and criminal justice involvement.
“I feel great gratitude that I have a company where people in recovery and degreed professionals work side by side to find solutions for the people we serve.” Scott Black, CEO
